Courses

Below is a list of courses related to ECGI that are offered by various partners in the CEI.

1) The Image Based Biomedical Modeling (IBBM) course:

The IBBM is a summer course in Park City, Utah that offers field-specific expertise and hands-on experience solving bioelectric or biomechanical problems that arise in current biomedical research and clinical practice. Participants will receive training in numerical methods, image analysis, and computational tools necessary to carry out end-to-end, image based, subject specific simulations in bioelectricity or biomechanics, using freely available software.
The 2017 edition of the course will be July 10-20 and registration has opened.  Of special note is the opportunity to received a fellowship that covers all conference costs and provides for travel support.  For more information visit this link.

2) IIBM at the University of Utah:

Similar to the IBBM is the IIBM (Introduction to Image Based Modeling), which was offered as an 8 week voluntary course to undergraduate and early graduate students at the University of Utah.  Starting in 2016, the course is now part of the formal offerings within the Biomedical Engineering Program at the University of Utah.  The course includes several lectures, demonstrations, and labs on segmentation, visualization, and meshing with the purpose of training students in the field of image-based computational simulation.
